| So it appears that I'll be going back to the "Other Realm", funny thing... I'm not even sure exactly where the portal will take me." Halose said looking over his shoulder at the archway beyond Eldrith's spent body, his eyes narrowing slightly as the ground quaked harder and faster. The path to the bottom of the tower had been blocked long since before... by both rubble and by the behemoth he'd fought earlier, his only path was through the portal. Sighing he grinned for a moment, walking singularly towards another place which he naught know anything about. The quaking ground ceasing and instead replaced with a moisture he hadn't felt in years. "Hmm... the Isle of Ilibia, the marshlands of Triani being my welcoming carpet. Well at least I'm not in the forest of death, or else in some sulfuric habitat." He said smirking, closing his eyes to peer around at the surrounding sights. The darkness of the trees accompanied the seemingly endless darkness, followed further by an uncapping string of monsters closing in from the darkness. The first one being something tall, its arms dangling down till they reached his body... it started with a common attack, a thrust of the arm which was easily parried by Halose's sword. "I'll have to make this quick, relatives of the permathicides inhabit these forests... using the trees for cover." He quickly placed his sword in its sheath, deciding that magic would be the best course of action for the present. "Holy!" He said, light enshrouding the enclosure he appeared in... drive the approaching creatures to the depths of the jungle, while the close were scorched with a blinding ray of light. "Time to leave..." He began to run, his first course of action... taking to the trees.

| "The only one that will die here today will be you... not me." With that he drew his blade, the long silvery blade with an edge like diamond. His eyes changing back to their normal shadowy gaze. He was the first to strike. From the left he swiftly jabbed his jagged blade. The tip slicing clear through Eldrith's armor, but instead of wincing she laughed a cold cruel laugh. Her voice echoing into the night like the wind. "Frivilous attempts, don't you know nothing about me. About my kind. We aren't so easily defeated... and by such weak weapons. You're nothing but another trophy for me to collect. You're nothing but another soul to wonder through my castle, besieged and made to do work." Next was her attack, a lightning bolt which made her grow in size. She became twice as large, her muscles flexing loosely against the breeze. She grinned an evil malevolent smile, throwing her arm out... knocking Halose back with ease. Stumbling to his feet he gave a laugh, his body seemingly unharmed by the force of such a blow... his hand reconfiguring. What he did next he didn't know... it all became a blur. Raising his sword he charged... a light blinding his path, then shadows... and silence. Eldrith laid there, her sword thrown back by whatever he did. The attack wasn't seen, but its intent was indeed accomplished. "Well... that didn't take too long." Halose said sheathing his sword back at his side. Wondering where to go next, when the ground began to shake. | | |
| Eldrith and Halose... the encounter "You're seemingly a lil' weak around the edges huh.... old hag." Halose said walking up the stairs to the top of the tower... a smirk on his shallowing face, his skin looking a lil' pale by the cloudy skies above him. "Such a fool you are... a fool to assume such a thing is to be possible, that I... I of all people am weak. You are the weak one slave.... just like the rest of them. Wanting my help and I giving it to them... then them driving me away... away to this mountain, and killing myself... and my men. They will pay.... Baldur's Gate will pay, and as will you... should you stand in my way." Eldrith said in a swirl of emotion and hatred, her sword implanted into the ground with a powerful blow. "I am no fool, and I am not from Baldur's Gates... I am here to seek a challenge witch, care to give me one... or has centuries of waiting rotten away your will to fight... and you skills to fight." Halose replied drawing a sword and pointing it at her, his eyes a shadowy grey and his skin starting to deteriorate... "Very well... if you wish to fight me, and meet your death... then so be it. You will die by the edge of my blade." Eldrith said pulling her sword from the ground, her body encircled in lightning from the heavens above her. | | |
| I've managed to obtain a newer sword than the onyx one I acquired earlier, this one's not really a sword... but more of a spearish like creation. Eldrith's reign over the tower is growing weaker, and the ghouls residing within are becoming more restless at her anger. I'll need to rest before I challenge her, which was made possible by a kind young soldier... who lost his life years ago. | | |
| Eldrith is the witch at the top of the Oynx Tower... banished from Baldur's Gate for treason, years ago. One of the Lizardmen on the 1st floor explained this to me, wanting revenge against the people there she's uncovered the Sinking Temple... and caused chaos among the Tribes of Chelimber's Crown. | | |
